How can we get a rich billionaire to pay off our bills so we can do volunteer work?

Posted on Sep 29, 2008 under Retire Rich |

We are a couple and our daughter recently joined the peace corp. She is stationed in Benin, Africa. Her volunteering was a major inspiration for the both of us. So we sat down and thought about ways we could join or do something more rewarding in life by helping others. I mean we actually want to be able to do volunteer work on a full time job. The only problem is we have a house and bills that keep us from doing this. Granted our house is a small house not expensive and we have school loans to pay off. Around 250,000 thousand would pay all our bills and we could volunteer. At the same time after spending years volunteering we would have a place to retire. If we sold our house and volunteered then we would have no place to live when we returned. I mean what good would it be for us to volunteer for years and after we return be poor with no house and a place to live?

So we sent letters just like this one to people who made the Forbes richest billionaires and guess what No one responde

I wonder why no one responded???????? Would you pay someone else's bills if someone asked you the same question and you were a billionaire? I doubt it. There is a way for you to become wealthy so check out what's out there and earn it like the rest of us then you can do volunteer work. You have to work like the rest of us to be wealthy and then lead a good life. Good luck.

put your family ahead of others… get jobs, make money, set up a financially stable environment for yourself and your children. feeling good for helping others dont pay the bills… you're very irresponsible…

I would LOVE to do this type of work. Its sad, it seems like good people that would do good with the money NEVER get it.

I would suggest posting for donations on "Yahoo! Answers" and hoping that the right people read it at the tight time in the right mood.

As a side note, it's probably not necessary to specify that the billionaire should be rich. 9 out of 10 billionaires are rich anyway.

    win THE LOTTERY!!!!!!

some dude just one 125 million bucks! haha

but yeah instead of trying to get a billionaire to pay for them..
try a huge corporation liek Apple Inc. or something

or if your religious at all talk to a church and talk to them about doing missions

but any way you go its goign to take TIME for you to find someone that is willing to give you 250,000 dollars so you can go do volunteer work.

    but good luck

i think you shall set a priority in your life first.
if you think you are economically unstable, start Volunteering on a part time basis you can carry on with your normal life and wait untill you have no much to worry about then only jump into full time volunteer.

from the other point of view, if volunteer are being supported financially there's no point in volunteering. the money spend on volunteer like you could save a lot more life. and if such situation exist in the world. everyone would like to be a volunteer instead of working hard to earn a living!
