How do i retire early + rich?
Posted on Oct 31, 2008 under Retire Rich |I am 15 years old and want to start working as a lifeguard this summer (when i will be 16.) What’s an appropriate amount of money to save per month to jump start my retirement?
In addition, i plan on being either a cop/fbi agent, or a nurse in the future. How do i retire early then?
Save as much money as possible. Invest it if you want. Government bonds are safe, but don’t make much money. You could also look into a CD from a bank. Which is basically a savings account with high interest payments, but you can’t access the money for years.
Unless you get a really high paying job, the only way to retire early with plenty of money is careful planning and spending. Getting a start on it when you’re a teenager does help a bit, though.

Read a couple of books:
The Millionaire Next door
The RIchest Man in Babylon.
These two tell you everything you need to know.
