Does anyone have info. on a work at home business thats for real and cheap to start.?

But I need to do something soon or I am going to be in financial trouble. Please do not answer unless your serious and have true knowledge of a business or company. I prefer one that does not expect a large investment to work for them.

Have you considered selling on ebay or a similar website. You could buy things in bulk, and sell for a small profit.
There are also lots of work at home websites, but 99% of them are scams and the ones that aren't scams actually require work on your part. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

Make sure you understand the difference between a "work at home business" and a "work at home job". They are different.
Typically with a work at home business you will need to put in an initial investment to start and then you will most likely have to keep putting in of your own money to keep your business going, just like any other business you might start. It will most likely also involve some type of sales activity also.
A work at home job is different. It's just like a regular job you are just doing it from your own home. You should never, ever pay a fee to get a work at home job! Not for materials, nothing. The only expenses you should have should be for equipment like a headset, high speed internet, updated software. Legitimate companies will not charge you to work for them.
