How can I connect to my home internet connection from work?
Posted on Aug 30, 2008 under Work From Home |My work has an extremely restrictive firewall that actually gets in the way of my work. I'm wondering how I can connect to the internet connection at my house from work. I bring my labtop to work and leave my desktop at home. Is there a way to connect to the internet through my home desktop computer from my work labtop computer? Thank you.
I have remote desktop and know how to use it. However, my husband needs the computer at home while I'm at work because he works from home. So I can't use remote desktop because it takes over that computer and he can't use it then. I just need the network, I don't need the files on the computer. Is there a way to do this?
A remote desktop system will be th only way to do this. You will need a fixed IP address at home, or a subscription to dynamic dns to be able to access the machine.
